Do you work with {insert hair type here}?

Yes! We work with ALL hair types and textures -- from kinky coils to bone straight.

What can I expect at the salon?

Expect to be greeted warmly and offered a refreshment when you arrive. And expect a full-service experience in our clean & comfy salon. The majority of our services include shampoo and conditioning. We only use high-quality products, so expect to leave us looking beautiful and feeling healthy from your scalp to the ends of your hair.

When do I need to book a consultation?

We recommend that you book a consultation prior to getting starter locs, first-time color processes, hair restoration services, or bridal services. You can also book a consultation if you're at a styling crossroads and need personalized recommendations from a pro.

Is the salon for women only?

Nope! We service women, men, and kids.

Is the salon wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We have 2 handicap parking spaces right in front of the salon, a ramped sidewalk, and wheelchair-accessible restrooms inside.

Is a deposit required to book services?

Yes, a 25% deposit is required to book any service. The remaining 75% will be charged after completion of services.

What is the cancellation poliicy?

Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits will be transferred to a new appointment if rescheduled at least 48 hours before the time of the original appointment.

​Pre-paid appointments will be automatically refunded in the form of their initial payment if canceled at least 72 hours before a scheduled appointment.

Is there a late policy/grace period?

We offer a grace period of 10 minutes. We ask that you call us if you believe you'll be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate you that day or reschedule you to a later time or date.

What about "no-call no-shows"?

After the 10-minute grace period, no-call no-shows will be charged the full amount for the scheduled service. *Please communicate with us if you believe you'll be late or can't make it.* We will always do our best to work with you.

Today is my appointment, but I feel sick. What should I do?

Please call to let us know you're not feeling well and we will reschedule your appointment. There is no penalty. We appreciate you taking care of your health and protecting ours.

Will my edges get snatched at the salon?

Not at the HairSollutionz studio! We're all about maintaining healthy hair, which includes the hairline. We can help you restore your edges if they have been thinned.

I have alopecia. Can you help me?

Absolutely! We offer hair restoration services and we assure your comfort and privacy. Please book a consultation so we can discuss the look you want to achieve.

I wear hijab/a head covering. Can you protect my modesty?

Definitely! When you book your service, let us know that you have a modesty request and we will assure your privacy.

I'm a senior on a fixed income. Will you work with me?

Yes! We love our seniors and created a service menu just for our clients aged 70 and older.

What should I do at night to protect my hair?

The name of the game is friction reduction, so we recommend wearing a satin bonnet to bed or using a satin pillowcase.

Will my hair texture loc?

All hair textures can loc, but locs mature faster in some textures than others. We'll discuss the maturation process and what you can expect with your hair texture during you consultation.

How often should I get my locs retwisted?

Every two to three weeks, during the starting phase. After that, it's based on your preference. We recommend waiting a minimum of six weeks between re-twists.

I want to rep the salon. Do you sell merch?

Yep! You can purchase HSS branded hoodies, t-shirts, and more in the salon and here on our site
